Sala is the god of light of Kruxor in the Aquablade Chronicles.
History[]
Salavaur, the combined form of Sala and the god of darkness, Vaur, originally created Kruxor before he destroyed it when he grew disappointed with it due to the constant conflicts between the people who lived in it due to everyone's heart being made of either pure light or pure darkness. However, as a failsafe in case he changed his mind and wanted to restore it later, he stored the now empty world as data on the hard drive of Aquablade's computer. Before destroying Kruxor, Salavaur also created the Belt of Infinity as a gift to Kruxor, which split Sala and Vaur apart. Sometime after Aquablade started creating new sprites on his computer that came to live in Kruxor, Sala and Vaur began living in Kruxor in the form of ordinary sprites.
Sala's original sprite appears only in Episode 20 of Aquablade Chronicles: Belt of Infinity after Vaur steals Aquablade's cloning device to make a clone of himself touch Fortuna's crystal ball, transforming the clone into the opposite of himself. Sala and Vaur become face to face again after many years and proceed to the long awaited battle. However, Vaur ends up defeating Sala and is about to absorb him to become Salavaur when Aquablade and the Elite Four come to revive him with Crimson Scythe's Healing Star move. However, Sala tells them not to do so because if only Vaur is defeated and not Sala, Vaur will be able to come back because Sala is a part of him, but if they are defeated as Salavaur, both of them will be gone permanently. Before Vaur absorbs him, Sala gives Aquablade a box containing an X Speed, a Lagging Tail, and a piece of guitar string that restored his sprite form (which had been destroyed by Skullsaber in "Greed, Hatred, and Revenge") to help him and the Elite Four defeat Salavaur.
When Aquablade defeated Salavaur by using the light of his love for Justice to destroy his heart of pure darkness, Sala died along with him, and his and Vaur's souls were presumably sent to Inferis.
It is also revealed in the same episode that Melzor the Wise was only the body and mind of Sala but not the complete being. He separated himself from his heart and sent it down to the sprite world to stop Vaur from absorbing it to become Salavaur and completely destroying Kruxor, where it became an entirely new sprite known as The Sun Sage. In the end, The Sun Sage ended up being a failure because his desicion-making skills were poor due to his heart being entirely of light.
Moves[]
Luminous Fist[]
A physical-based single-target attack. When used against Vaur, it lowers Sala's defense and special defense by one stage.
Light Storm[]
A special-based attack that is weaker than Luminous Fist but hits all foes.
Healing Light[]
Restores Sala's HP by 100.
Power Absorb[]
Absorbs the opponent's powers and gives them to Sala. It can also be used to steal an opponent's stat boosts. When used on Vaur, it causes Sala to combine with him to become Salavaur.
Trivia[]
- Even though Sala told Crimson Scythe not to heal him after Vaur defeated him because they would have to be defeated as Salavaur to make sure that Vaur couldn't come back, if they had revived Sala and he would have defeated Vaur and used Power Absorb on him, Sala would have been the one in control of Salavaur and thus he wouldn't have wanted to destroy Kruxor, meaning there would have been no need to defeat Salavaur at all if Crimson Scythe had healed him.
