History[]

Pre-history[]

Before spriting even existed, there were two gods, Sala, the god of light, and Vaur, the god of darkness. Sala controlled everything good and Vaur controlled everything evil.

After witnessing many wars from the world "balanced" between good and evil, the two gods decided to duel each other to the death with the victor awarded control over everything. This intense battle lasted a whole 1,000 years, and ended with Vaur winning. However, Sala destroyed the world while dying, leaving Vaur the only alive being. Vaur used his Power Absorb attack to steal all of Sala's power, which created a being called Salavaur.

Salavaur's mind was split halfway between good and evil sides with the power of light and dark on both sides. He recreated the world, along with various people using his power. However, he could only create creatures that use the power of either light or darkness, not both light and darkness. This resulted in another world of chaos. Salavaur disappeared for millions of years, and when he returned, he had enough of the world of chaos and destroyed every living being in the Sprite World, only leaving light and darkness.

In an attempt to prevent the world from being re-created, he stored the world inside a folder on Mike's computer. This failed as Mike put his created sprites in this folder which resulted in the accidental creation of life for the sprites, which amazed Mike. However, Salavaur was angered by the fact that someone was putting new beings into his world. Yet, he did not want to destroy the world yet again, and thus entrusted Mike with the Belt of Infinity, the eight Gems of Infinity, and the matching medallion.

Belt of Infinity[]

Vaur first appeared in the series as Darkrai during The Nightmare episode of the Aquablade Chronicles: Belt of Infinity prologue. He attacked Aquablade11 in his dreams, but was defeated.

During The Fortuneteller, Darkrai attacks Aquajelly while she is injured to kill her, and then claims her death has started the first part of his plan to destroy the world.

Later, during Darkrai's True Form, Aquablade Warrior reads a book describing Sala and Vaur. Darkrai interrupts his reading of the book, and then Aquablade Warrior discovers that Darkrai is in fact Vaur and he is attempting to become Salavaur. They then battle and Vaur loses, who then claims his loss has initiated the second phase of his plan. Aquablade Warrior then transforms into Skullsaber.

During Heart of Darkness, he discovers that Melzor is in fact the brain and body of Sala. He absorbs Melzor and takes on his true form, which has one million HP. When the Elite Four attack him, Vaur defeats them. He then realizes that he can become Salavaur by creating a clone of himself, and ordering the clone to touch Fortuna's crystal ball, which turns whoever touches it to the exact opposite of themselves. He sets off to her location to use the cloning device he just stole from Aquablade, so that he can create a new Sala. Vaur then waged a battle with him and won.

Because the Belt of Infinity was destroyed, Vaur was not able to merge properly with Sala. Because of this, he was not immortal due to his heart being full of darkness. Only Vaur's mind and soul remained. However, he still acquired Salavaur's form.
